FAQs
Do You Do "Regular" Therapy Also?
Yes. I am trained and experienced in working with many different challenges. If you are struggling with anxiety or depression, difficulties at work or in relationships, navigating life transitions - I’m confident working together could be helpful.
How Much Does Therapy Cost?
My rate is $200 for an Initial 60 minute assessment session and $180 for a 53 minute psychotherapy session.
Do You Accept Insurance?
I am in network with Aetna.
Similar to many specialty providers, I accept few insurances directly. I can provide a “superbill”, which may be submitted to your insurance company for partial reimbursement. Contact your insurer to ask about your out of network benefits. For some, out of network cost will be similar to in network therapists once their deductible has been met.
I also accept HSA / FSA.
What Are the Benefits of Seeing an Out Of Network Therapist?
As an out of network provider, my clients enjoy increased privacy and flexibility in their treatment. I am also able to spend more time focusing on your treatment rather than navigating health insurance claims or authorizations. Also, your treatment is customized to your and your needs, not limited by mandates from insurance companies. Finally, potential clients are able to access more quickly as out of network therapists may have less people on their waitlist.
What Ages Do You Work With?
I work with individuals age 15 and up.
Do You Offer Video or In Person Appointments?
I offer both online video and in person appointments.
How Does Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy Work?
This journey starts with a mental health assessment to determine if Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy is a good fit at this time. Next, you would meet with one of the fine doctors at the Institute for Integrative Therapies (IIT) for a physical evaluation. Then the preparation work begins, building your intention and priming yourself for the experience. Next, the medicine session takes place at IIT under the care of a doctor and with myself by your side the whole time. Next is the important work of integration, taking advantage of a key window of time after the medicine in which change and healing can be more effective.
Do You Work With People Who Are Receiving At Home Ketamine, Ketamine Infusions or Spravato?
Yes! While ketamine is administered in a variety of settings, many clients find they benefit from addition therapy support. Preparation work prior to the ketamine medicine can help prime the whole person for maximum benefit. Integration work after the ketamine can help integrate the experience and assist in moving from immediate relief to lasting change.
