EMDR
EMDR is a powerful tool in addressing trauma. From this approach, we are more interested in what happened to you, rather than what is “wrong” with you. As humans, sometimes we are faced with deeply challenging single events or ongoing situations. Oftentimes we find ourselves changed, stuck. Our view of ourselves, other people, or even the world may be deeply changed. There may even be deep experiences within us that cannot be spoken or felt. A part of us may even feel stuck or lost after what happened.
In these cases, EMDR can help clients connect with and strengthen internal resources, those beliefs and feelings within that we can persevere and overcome. EMDR can help heal the stuck and lost parts of ourselves, those experiences that we feared could not be spoken or felt. If EMDR seems confusing or you find yourself with more questions, you are not alone. That is a very common response. I would love to share more about the process and demonstrate how it can be effective in our work together.
Attachment Focused Therapy
Many clients I work with have faced familiar struggles going back to their earliest memories. They often share with me that they have been on a long journey to find relief, healing, and connection. Many of these clients have familiar challenges in their relationships, unable to love and be loved in the way they desire. They can be hard on themselves in ways that can be very confusing, offering kindness and compassion to others in ways they have difficulty offering to themselves.
If this sounds like you, I’m glad you’re here. You’re not alone. I’ve worked with many clients to address deep wounds that get in the way of living the life of fullness they desire. My belief is that all of us are born innately worthy and capable of love and connection. However, many of us adapted to circumstances by turning away from this innate worthiness. It is one of the great joys of my work, to walk with clients on a journey of “returning home” to their authentic selves. I would love to share more about this process and walk along this journey with you.
Psychedelic Assisted Therapy
Curious about embarking on a journey of self discovery and healing? I have a deep appreciation and understanding of the profound impact a psychedelic experience can have on the mind, body, and spirit. As psychedelic Assisted therapy is not for everyone, it’s important to make an informed choice based on balanced information.
My approach to psychedelic therapy is comprehensive and holistic. The work begins with assessment, determining if psychedelics are a good fit. Next is preparation: learning about the psychedelic experience, building an intention, and opening doors within for the medicine to work with. Next is the important work of integration, applying positive changes to your life. In the safe and connected space we’ve cultivated, the focus of integration is to make meaning of past experiences and integrate new insights.
In partnership with the Institute for Integrative Therapies (ITT) in Eden Prairie, I am excited to provide Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. The preparation and integration work would be done online or at the Journey Within office space. While the ketamine experience would be held at IIT in collaboration with one of their excellent psychiatrists.

“People have two basic needs. Attachment and authenticity. When authenticity threatens attachment… attachment trumps authenticity.”
